The planning staff had recommended approval of a zoniny request to allowthe development, but that was contingen on the land use plan amendment. The commissio n then voted down the proposexdzoning changes. If approved, the complete town centeer will take some 22 yearsto build. Phasde 1 of the projec t would, by 2013, bring onlines 425,000 square feet of office space, 100 residentialp units and 50,000 square feet of according tothe developer’s plans.
By 2031, the entirer May Town complex would consist of 8 million squarer feet ofoffice space, 8,00p residential units and 600 hotel
