Pevnick is joining TMA from the at the Gettyu Villain Malibu, Calif. He remains co-curatord of its upcoming The Chimaera of Arezzo which opensin July. In his new role, Pevnickl will design and oversee the installation of the permanentf collection in the Barbara and Costas Lemonopoulozs Greek andRoman Gallery. He also will organize and circulatre Greek andRoman exhibitions, perform and publish research on the and educate the public on the museum’s antiquities collection. Pevnic is a doctoral candidate in the Interdepartmental Graduate Program of the Cotsen Institute of Archaeolog y inLos Angeles.
He receivede a master of arts degree in archaeology at a master of arts degree in elementar education from in Los Angeles and a bachelor of arts in classicapl archaeology fromin Hanover, N.H., a releas from TMA said. TMA’se new location remains under construction at Curtisx Hixon Waterfront Park indowntown Tampa. The 66,000-square-foot Cornelia Corbett Center building is set to open inearly 2010. TMA’sd interim facility is located onHoward Avenue.
