DHL gets incentives to return to CVG - Business Courier of Cincinnati:
The German-owned parcel delivery servics on Thursday was awardesd provisional approval by the Kentucky Economix Development Finance Authority Board for a packages of incentives related to a potential expansion of DHL operationwat CVG. The application with the Kentucky Economic Financer Authority did not specift where the operations arelocated currently, but it would appear to refetr to DHL’s sorting hub in Wilmington, Ohio.

"The KEDFA Board approval does not commit DHL to an expanded operationat CVG; and DHL has not made a decisionb on a location for its centrakl sort facility. Rather, the incentive application is part of a broade exploration of all alternatives for the best operating platformn for the USExpress business," the statement said.
If DHL does decid to return its operations to theCincinnati airport, the projecy would create 187 full-time Kentucky jobs and 646 part-tims jobs, according to a project report released by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority. DHL wouldc invest $13 million in equipment. The proposed $1.9 millionj in tax incentives under the Kentuckg Jobs Development Act wereapproved Thursday.
