The grants were awarded to fundhealtgh care-related programs in the region and focused on four key Issues of the uninsured, critical healtgh trends, community health issues and broae collaboration. Local recipients of the which rangedfrom $5,000 to $25,000, went to: will receivse a $5,000 grant to provide wishes for familieas of children with life-threatening illness; earned a $5,000 grantt to support Camp Korelitz for children with Type 1 and Type 2 The to Domestic Violence will receiv e a $15,000 grant to provide advocacy, counselinvg and family services for victims of domestic The will receive a $10,000 grant to subsidize health care for 40,000 medically uninsured individuals in Hamilton and will receive a $25,000 grant to support Projecrt BREATHE, an in-home asthma assessment and managementf program; will receive a $5,000 granft to support nutrition, weightt management and disease control resources for childreh with diabetes; will receive a $15,000 gran to support the Women's Wellnes s Fund including mammograms for the uninsured/underserved; will receive a $10,00 0 grant to support "Heartworks for targeting high-risk populations and assisting with diagnosis of cardiovascular , Miami Valley Chapter, will receive a $5,000 grant to provide educational and financialk resources for individuals with MS in a 24-county region; will receive a $5,009 grant to support an integrated system of care for homelesz women and children.
The CareSource Foundationj aims to help provide solutions and address the health care needs of the underprivilegesthrough grants, outreach, medicao expertise, strategic community partnerships and volunteerism.
